Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has participated in an interview with podcaster Lex Fridman, discussing topics such as the war, a possible peace, his views on Russian President Vladimir Putin, NATO, and much more.

Podcaster Lex Fridman was born and raised in the Soviet Union in the 1980s but moved to the USA at the age of ten with his family when his father became a professor there.

Fridman, who is also a researcher, hosts his podcast on YouTube with several million subscribers and has interviewed influential figures such as Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Javier Milei, and many others.

In a new episode, Lex Fridman interviewed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a conversation lasting over three hours. During the interview, Zelensky expressed that he sees Trump’s return to power in the USA as a key to a ceasefire with Russia.

– Trump and I will agree to offer strong security guarantees, along with Europe. Then we will talk to the Russians, says Zelensky, continuing:

– We and Trump will come first, and Europe will stand behind Ukraine’s position. He is also asked what Kyiv needs to agree to a ceasefire. He responds that the minimum requirement is security guarantees for the areas not occupied by Russia.
