COLUMN • If the opinion polls hold, a shift of power awaits this autumn. Samnytt’s Jonas Andersson argues that Sweden then risks getting the most left-oriented government in modern times—while the reforms implemented by the Tidö parties could quickly be overturned. According to him, the government received a historic mandate to change the country’s direction, but the slow pace of reforms may have meant that the country’s last chance to change course has already been lost.

In two months, there will be a parliamentary election in Sweden, and the country seems poised to be thrown into the most left-radical government formation ever. The Social Democrats have—just like the Democrats in the USA—become increasingly left-wing radical, and the previous divisions between themselves and the Communists have become blurrier.

The Left Party, i.e., the Communists, demands a place in Magdalena Andersson’s (S) government, even as revelation after revelation proves that the party has rotted from within by Jew-hatred, Islamism, and hostility to Swedes. And, of course, at the same time—as is the case for all far-left and green parties in Europe—a science-denying agenda seriously claiming that men can give birth and that white men are the root of all evil in the world.

Amidst this mix of madness, racism and insanity stand the left-leaning urban women who have grown accustomed to their high incomes and toast with tonight’s bubbly at Stureplan… in celebration of the Center Party’s and Thand Ringqvist’s (C) support for the communists and antisemites.

Because what happens in Gaza is indeed terrible and the Jews’ fault. And that they surely deserve their high salaries as HR consultants or coordination coaches at the IT company (hired by the municipality with taxpayers’ money).

Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist, Center Party leader, likes to speak favorably about entrepreneurship, but has today linked arms with the socialists and communists. Maybe because it just “feels” right? Since the stupid right is so stupid?

A government which sluggishly—with long holidays in between—addressed the country’s gravest problems. Things that should have taken two weeks took two years. And mass immigration continued pretty much as before, with about 100,000 migrants each year, every year, from the Middle East and Africa. Despite the people’s opinions, despite what the Swedish people wanted and voted for.

This follows the same logic as the fact that Swedish organized feminism is now allied with the most women-oppressive ideology in history: Islam. There is no logic, only madness.

All in order to break down the West, to lay our civilization—the most successful, most egalitarian, and most humanistic civilization ever—into ruins. To tear everything down, in a hateful and destructive rage.

Here, the Green Party leads the way—destroying the West by driving us all into poverty, depriving us of both energy and democracy.

So here is the opposing team. S, V, MP, and C. And they look set to win the election.

And standing against them is the seemingly increasingly weak team: Tidö.

Tidö Had the Chance – But Acted Too Slowly

A government which sluggishly—with long holidays in between—addressed the country’s gravest problems. Things that should have taken two weeks took two years. And mass immigration continued pretty much as before, with about 100,000 migrants each year, every year, mostly from the Middle East and parts of Africa. Despite the people’s views, despite what the Swedish people wanted and voted for.

Every new citizenship also means a new potential vote in the general election. Foreign-born voters show significantly more support for the Social Democrats and the Left Party than native-born, which means that the broad handout of citizenships under the Tidö government over time risks strengthening the left bloc.

Only 60,000 votes separated the blocs in the 2022 election. Compare that with the hundreds of thousands of citizenships which Tidö has handed out.

One explanation may be that parties defending high benefits, generous welfare systems and continued liberal migration are seen as more attractive by these voter groups—alongside their driving force in the Islamization of Sweden.

Sure, some good things got done. But too late. And the improvements made—in migration, crime, and energy—will be undone within weeks by the new radical left government. Because their purpose today is not to make Sweden a better country but to dismantle Sweden as a nation.

It is eerily similar to the fate that befell Britain, and which now seems close to proper civil war. The USA was heading in the same direction under the demented figurehead Joe Biden but managed to slow things at the last second.

It doesn’t matter what the people vote for. The parties pretend to stand for different things, but the realpolitik is the same.

I have worked in communications all my life—and I both see and understand that all of this is based in the massive propaganda for the left’s false narrative that is spread around the clock in all of Sweden’s traditional media.

How is a people to protect itself from such total and massive propaganda?

– It’s impossible. Propaganda works—and massive propaganda always works.

The Propaganda That Shapes Opinion

The early heads of Public Service and the Social Democratic Party that built up this disinformation factory (inspired by the former East Germany, DDR) knew that. The tyrannical dictatorship that always served as the Social Democrats’ model.

Tidö could have acted more strongly, more quickly, and more clearly. But Ulf Kristersson (M) does not possess that power, and also bears a large share of responsibility for the mess our country finds itself in, due to his close cooperation with perhaps Sweden’s greatest nation destroyer, the former Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt (M).

Do not forget that even Magdalena Andersson (S) chose to study in East Germany, not then-West Germany.

But here is where we are now. The left will probably win the election in September. And Sweden missed its last chance to repair itself and seize control of its future.

Tidö could have acted more strongly, more quickly, and more clearly. But Ulf Kristersson (M) does not possess that power, and also bears considerable responsibility for the mess our country is in, due to his close cooperation with perhaps Sweden’s biggest nation destroyer, the former Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt (M).

Billions were pumped into the propaganda factory, Public Service, whose sole purpose today—besides meaningless entertainment—is to oppose the right and Tidö. Ask yourselves why they do it? Is it ignorance or something deeper?

The Sweden Democrats have done their best—and I understand the position they’ve had—but it wasn’t enough. Unfortunately. I have previously argued that they should have put even stricter pressure. Gone into opposition, if required.

I understand that it would have caused major problems, even for Sweden. But what we’ve managed to accomplish now is likely only to delay the increasingly inevitable and worse crash.

But as the Swedish politicians raise their own salaries (while watching the Swedish people grow ever poorer), they probably look out over the world and think about their own comfortable resorts to which they can retire. Caring about their own people and the land and soil this people has built and used for thousands of years, understanding the beauty and value in creating, managing, and improving—it’s not something they seem to understand.

All improvements will be swept away in a flash. Mass migration will increase to new historic levels—again. Islamism will be allowed to take a firm grip on Sweden.

The cost of driving will double, food prices will skyrocket, as will electricity prices. Citizenship will be handed out freely and a bourgeois government will likely never see the light of day again.

The alternative—which Bert Karlsson recently argued for—is for the Social Democrats to join forces with the Moderates and Christian Democrats.

I don’t believe in that. I don’t even think the politicians currently leading these parties care about Sweden. And where the Sweden Democrats, Sweden’s second largest party, would land in such a constellation is hard to see.

Perhaps as the blue flame at the rear of the other parties, giving them the push they need. All this while, most likely, both France, Germany—and the UK—will soon be rid of their socialist leaders.

Under Alice Weidel, Alternative für Deutschland has established itself as one of Germany’s biggest political forces. In the 2025 Bundestag election, the party became the second largest with just over 20 percent of the votes—its best result yet—and continues to strengthen its position in several polls. Weidel has thus become one of the most influential opposition politicians in German politics.

Marine Le Pen has in the last decade made Rassemblement National one of France’s strongest political movements. The party has steadily increased its electorate and established itself as the main challenger to the political establishment. After the court of appeals’ ruling in July 2026, it is now clear that Le Pen can run again in the 2027 presidential election, where she is among the top favorites according to several polls.

But as Swedish politicians raise their own salaries (while watching the Swedish people grow ever poorer), they probably look out over the world and think about their own comfortable resorts to which they can retire.

Caring about one’s own people, the country and the land this people has built and cultivated for thousands of years, understanding the beauty and value in creating, managing, and improving—these are things they don’t seem to get.

Yes, that is how deeply rooted my contempt now sits for the political class that daily deceives and diminishes us Swedes, aided by their friends, the “journalists.”

Still, of course, I hope for Tidö this autumn. But the outlook is dark. And much is their own fault.

For decades, the Swedish political class has step by step changed Sweden beyond recognition. Meanwhile, they continue to talk about “integration” even as the trend is going in the other direction.

The Finnish mathematics professor and researcher Kyösti Tarvainen, whom I have interviewed several times, has warned that Swedes risk becoming a minority in their own country unless a large-scale remigration becomes reality.

Still, in practice, there is no party in parliament pushing for such a policy. Instead, the same variants of the solutions that have shaped the last decades are still being discussed.

Perhaps the darkest realization of all—that the problems are growing, while the willingness to implement the measures some experts say are necessary barely exists in the Swedish parliament.
