When the Muslim fasting month began, the media was flooded with reports and coverage, and now as Ramadan ends, the same sort of hysteria prevails with politicians, authorities, and stores all eager to wish ‘Eid Mubarak’.
Sweden is claimed to be the most secular country in the world, but the question is whether that still holds true. We had hardly cast off the yoke of religion before an even worse version made its entrance and encroached on daily life—something the Swedish people never asked for and many now feel a strong aversion to, being forced to face religious messages wherever they turn.
