The first poll following the agreement between the Sweden Democrats and the Liberals has been released, showing dramatic swings for the parties.
At a joint press conference last Friday, Jimmie Åkesson (SD) and Simona Mohamsson (L) announced that they had reached an agreement, which includes the Liberals agreeing to accept SD in a future government. They also wish to see a new future referendum on the euro.

The new poll from Novus, which is now presented, was conducted between March 14–18, that is, after the agreement was announced.
Even though the Liberals are still far below the threshold, they have increased marginally. It’s worse for the Sweden Democrats, who lose nearly two percentage points, but are still much larger than the Moderates.
The Social Democrats are also falling significantly. The Christian Democrats, on the other hand, see a boost and now have a good margin to the parliamentary threshold. The Centre Party also increases noticeably. While the Tidö government gathers a support of 45.9 percent, the opposition receives 52.2 percent.
More may cast tactical votes
At the same time, a poll from Demoskop shows that 58 percent of Moderates have become more positive to voting tactically for the Liberals after the agreement, while only four percent of right-wing voters have become more negative. 45 percent of those surveyed also believe that L made the right decision, 44 percent that it was wrong.
