He has been repeatedly convicted of sexual molestation, served multiple prison terms, and last year received a deportation order from Sweden with a five-year re-entry ban. Despite this, Iranian national Murat Ibrahimzade, 43, is still living in Falun. Now the Iranian citizen is once again facing charges for new suspected molestations – this time also against children.
It was on March 17 this year that Murat struck again in Falun. Within just a half hour, three women in different locations along Norra Järnvägsgatan and in Britsarvet were assaulted by him. According to the indictment, Murat touched their buttocks – actions that the prosecutor considers to be sexually offensive.

The first incident occurred, according to the indictment, at a recycling station. When the woman pushed Murat away, he reportedly followed her, first walking and then running when she tried to get away.
Shortly afterwards, another woman was assaulted outside Actic in Britsarvet. The woman saw a man approaching her from behind in the reflection of the door. When she opened the door, he stared her in the eyes and groped her.

Later that same evening, yet another woman was assaulted near Ingo and McDonald’s. After the incident, Murat left the scene. Police arrested him later that evening in an apartment in Bojsenburg.
Also indicted for previous crime against child
The indictment also covers an incident from December 2025 in central Falun, where, according to the indictment, a minor girl was subjected to sexual molestation. A witness immediately reacted and confronted Murat at the scene.

According to previously published information, he admitted to the acts during interviews, and defended himself by saying he “felt like it.”
Long record of previous convictions
This is far from the first time Murat Ibrahimzade has been convicted or suspected of similar crimes. The criminal record shows multiple convictions for sexual molestation during 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Several of the cases concern women assaulted in public places in Falun. He has also previously been convicted of molesting staff during a prison stay.
On July 15, 2025, he was sentenced by Falu District Court to six months in prison for yet another sexual molestation. At the same time, the court decided he should be deported from Sweden and banned from returning for five years. The verdict was later upheld by the Court of Appeal.
Despite this, he was released on parole in November 2025 and remained in the country thereafter, without being placed in migration custody. Just months later, he is now once again facing charges for new offenses.
Police make no comment on the deportation
The police do not wish to comment on why a man with a legally binding deportation order and a high risk of reoffending is still at large in Sweden, citing that they do not comment on individual cases.
Previously, border police have said in general terms that deportations can sometimes be blocked by practical or legal barriers, for example, lack of travel documents or the situation in the home country. However, no explanation is provided for why Murat has not been put into custody or why the deportation has not been carried out.
New trial awaits
Since the summer of 2023, Murat Ibrahimzade has repeatedly appeared in legal proceedings after women in Falun were subjected to unwanted sexual contact. Despite multiple prison sentences and a deportation order, Murat is still living in the same city where the crimes have been repeatedly committed.
Now, another trial awaits in Falu District Court.
