Two men in their 20s have been arrested after the violent altercation that occurred at the Hawaii bathing area in Stenungsund on the night leading into Thursday. The incident is being investigated as murder and attempted murder.
One of the injured men died on Thursday morning. Police announced the death shortly after 10 am and stated that the next of kin have been notified. The other man is being treated at the hospital and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
According to the police, several people are believed to have been involved in the fight. The two injured men took themselves to the hospital without an ambulance, arriving around 1 am. It was in connection with this that the police became aware of the incident.
Both men had injuries caused by a sharp object. According to police spokesperson Jens Andersson, this concerns a conflict that escalated into violence, where the two men were injured with a sharp object. The cause of the conflict has not yet been established.
The police are continuing the investigation by conducting witness interviews and carrying out a technical examination of the crime scene.
