Russia is behind terrorism and violent acts in Sweden and Europe, at least according to the Security Service (Säpo).
On Tuesday, Säpo presented the report Situation Report 2024-2025. A press conference and media statements were delivered in connection with this.

Pointing to Russia
According to the head of the security police, Charlotte von Essen, a foreign power buys “acts of violence, security-threatening activities, sabotage” from sometimes “very young individuals”.
“We have seen in Europe that Russia uses,” she told Swedish television.
In addition to Russia, Iran is also singled out. Both countries are blamed for gang violence and terrorist acts.
“It’s very interconnected. The terrorist threat is more multifaceted,” Charlotte von Essen told state television.
In addition to being the head of the security police, Charlotte von Essen is also a member of the controversial closed society Hilda.
