On Monday evening, a video clip spread on social media showing the Left Party leader Nooshi Dadgostar’s press secretary, Hanna Brolund, going on the offensive against a person who was filming her at a demonstration. The incident ends with the police removing the Left Party leader’s staff member.
– He shoved a camera in my fucking face, she explains her reaction.
Citizen journalist Christian Peterson highlighted the situation, both in an article and in a video clip on social media.
Over the weekend, several left-wing groups, led by climate activist Greta Thunberg, organized a demonstration for increased immigration to Sweden. Hanna Brolund was among the participants.
Also present were the media profiles Tyr and Tor Änglasjö, who protested against mass immigration and instead wanted to highlight that they advocate the deportation of at least one million migrants.
During a discussion between one of the counter-protesters and Hanna Brolund at the scene, the Left Party’s press secretary noticed she was being filmed. This was something she could not accept from someone with an opposing view, even though the incident took place in a public area.
Brolund reacted confrontationally towards the camera, but was stopped by people around her. Shortly thereafter, the police arrived and removed her from the scene.
– He shoved a camera in my fucking face, exclaims Nooshi Dadgostar’s staff member to the officer.
From Expressen to the Left Party
Hanna Brolund has a background as a journalist within mainstream media, including being a public face for Expressen.
She then moved on to the Left Party, where according to the party’s website she is the administrator for their national social media and also serves as press secretary to the party leader.
