The man in his 40s who over the weekend ‘fell’ from a balcony in Hässelby, western Stockholm, has died from his injuries. The police are investigating the incident as murder and two people have been detained on suspicion of the crime.
The alert was received around 11 PM on Saturday night following reports of a severely injured man outside an apartment building. The man had fallen from a third-floor balcony and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he was treated for life-threatening injuries.
In connection with the operation, a man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s who were in the same building were arrested. They have since been detained on suspicion of murder, following the victim’s death from his injuries.
According to media reports, the suspects are neighbors of the deceased. They have stated that the man tried to get across to another balcony and then fell, but the circumstances surrounding the death are now under police investigation.
Furthermore, police state that the man’s relatives are in another EU country, which has made it more difficult to reach them.
