The group Rojava Committees has claimed responsibility for the so-called actions against several ministers’ homes. Within the Left Party, the incidents where objects were placed have received praise.

The Rojava Committees describe themselves as “a network for solidarity and exchange with the Kurdish freedom movement in all four parts of Kurdistan, i.e., within the borders of the nation-states of Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran,” and claim to be “politically and religiously independent.”

Recently, they targeted the homes of Migration Minister Johan Forssell (M) and Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa (M). At Forssell’s home, they placed a basket of apples painted to look like Adolf Hitler, and at Dousa’s, a doll representing an ISIS terrorist with a severed head.

The group has published pictures from the action on Instagram, which several Left Party politicians have liked — among them Showan Shattak (V), who sits on the Malmö City Council.

“I defend it 110 percent,” Showan Shattak told Aftonbladet.

According to Shattak, the group has “highlighted and drawn attention to something incredibly scandalous, probably the most bizarre thing the Tidö parties have done so far” — referring to the cooperation the Swedish government has initiated with the Syrian government.

Wants to Jail Ministers

A few days ago, a man was detained on suspicion of involvement in the incidents.

“I think it’s outrageous. I hope the charges are dropped. Those who really should be locked up are Johan Forssell and Benjamin Dousa, who have gone against the UN’s terror list and sanctions list by sending money to HTS (the ruling regime in Syria). A Swede was convicted in 2024 for terror financing for sending money there.”

Campaign Against the Moderates

On January 22, the Rojava Committees wrote that they “are launching a campaign against the Moderates to stop the financing of the al-Qaida regime that is now attacking Rojava.”

Among other things, people are encouraged to carry out “their own actions.”

Be creative; bloody money, put up posters, or end your own demo outside the Moderates’ local office in your city.

In the summer of 2025, it was Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergards’ (M) home that was targeted by a similar action.
