Nooshi Dadgostar, the leader of the Left Party, answers in a quickfire TikTok interview on the question of which is worse: to own or to rob a bank. Her answer is that owning a bank is worse than robbing it. The Malmö branch of the Left Party posted the clip, which they accompanied with a “gangsta” meme to celebrate the response.

At the time of writing, it does not appear that establishment media have picked up on the remarkable response. However, reactions online have been far more intense.

“Utter madness”

Dagostar’s answer has, among other places, been highlighted by Parisa Liljestrand, who writes that it is “rather tasteless, given the party’s many scandals in recent times,” and that, “Everything from anti-police sentiment, to romanticizing terrorism and antisemitism — in such cases you have a responsibility not to provoke your clearly problematic followers even further.”

Susanna Silfverskiöld writes, “Here we have the party that Magdalena Andersson is considering allowing into government.” A Björn Engström comments on Facebook that “This shows what socialists look like inside their frontal lobes! Utter madness.”
