An 18-year-old woman named Hanna has been missing since Tuesday in Uddevalla. Following new information from the public, the police have now stepped up their efforts and initiated what is known as a special incident.

On Wednesday, the police received tips about clothes found in an outdoor area in the city—garments that may be connected to the missing woman. Afterward, the police established a search area to focus on.

– There is an uncertain situation. Nothing so far suggests a crime, but we don’t know what has happened or where the woman is. We have a defined search area to work from, Jens Andersson from the police told Aftonbladet.

Hanna was reported missing on January 6 and was last seen in the afternoon the same day. Since then, search efforts have been ongoing using, among other things, dogs and drones.

Police state that at the moment, there are no signs that a crime has been committed. At the same time, they emphasize that the situation is unclear and that several scenarios remain open. The police do not want to rule anything out.

In the residential area, otherwise described as very peaceful, close to where the clothing was found, there is now noticeable concern about the situation. Several residents describe the police presence during the night, with patrols searching the area with flashlights.

Special Incident

On Wednesday afternoon, the police decided to initiate a special incident, which means extra resources are deployed. Aside from the police, the Home Guard and Missing People are participating in the search, which is now ongoing in a restricted area where the discovery was made.

The search operation continues and police are urging the public to come forward with any observations that may be important. The police have published a description in hopes of receiving more information from the public:

The woman has long, dark-blonde hair and is approximately 166 centimeters tall. She was wearing jeans and a brown sweater when she went missing. If you have any information or tips, we urge you to call 114 14. In an emergency, call 112.
