On Wednesday, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) announced that the Sweden Democrats will be part of the next government if the Tidö parties win the election this fall.
The announcement was made together with the SD leader Jimmie Åkesson. This means that all Tidö parties — provided they surpass the parliamentary threshold and win the election — will be part of the upcoming government.
“We have agreed to be able to hit the ground running next term and form a strong majority government if we are entrusted by the voters,” said Kristersson.
Furthermore, the parties have agreed that the Moderates, led by Ulf Kristersson, will head the next government. The Sweden Democrats will have significant influence on policy issues and take on important ministerial posts related to migration and integration.
“Sweden needs a decisive government.”
