DEBATE • We asked AI to suggest arguments that could convince women who have previously voted left to now vote for the conservative bloc. We also asked AI to put itself in the mindset of how ‘red’ women reason.
Before that, we gave AI our reasons for why women who have voted left should now vote for Tidö. But AI wanted to be less polemical: striking people over the head with arguments, it felt, is not the most effective way.
Essentially, the arguments are that the conservative bloc is better at delivering, which means more resources can be directed to what women care deeply about.
In detail
AI: Dear left-leaning woman – your safety and your freedom deserve more than ideology
You vote left for good reasons. You want a society that takes care of the vulnerable, where children have a good education, where elder care works, and where women can feel safe. You value equality, solidarity, and a strong welfare state. Those are respectable priorities. Many of us who vote for the conservative bloc share them.

But when we look at the results—not the slogans—it becomes increasingly difficult to stick with the same party year after year. For the Sweden that left-wing politics has shaped over long periods no longer delivers what you actually want.
Security comes first
As a woman, you are more exposed to insecurity than men. You think about how it feels to walk home late, to let your teenage daughter use public transport, to live in an area where shootings and robberies have become commonplace. The statistics are clear: sexual crimes, threats, and violence hit women hard, and perceived insecurity has remained high for a long time.
Here, the left has often relativized the problems. They have talked more about socioeconomic causes than consequences, more about understanding perpetrators than protecting victims. Conservative policies put crime victims first.

Harsher punishments, more police presence, faster deportation of criminal foreigners, and a clear focus on honor-related violence and oppression. It’s not toughness for its own sake—it’s the prerequisite for women to be able to move freely. Freedom without security is an illusion.
More money in your pocket gives real power
Women, on average, have lower incomes and smaller economic margins. When taxes on work are lowered and everyday costs are kept down, you have more left over. That brings freedom: the ability to save, to leave a bad relationship, to choose childcare or to work part-time without it feeling impossible.

Leftist policies have often responded with higher taxes and more benefits. It sounds like solidarity, but it risks locking people into dependence. Conservative politics believe that strong private incomes and freedom of choice are the foundation for women’s independence. A growing economy is the best guarantee that welfare will last—not just today, but for your children and grandchildren.
Welfare needs quality, not just volume
You perhaps work in healthcare, schools, or care yourself—or have relatives who do. Then you know how the queues look, how staff are running around, how students aren’t getting the teaching they need. More money has been pumped in for many years, but the results haven’t kept up.

Conservative policies are not about tearing down welfare. They’re about getting more quality for the money: more choice, clearer requirements for results, better working conditions through more efficient organization, and an economy that actually grows. When companies do well and more people work, tax revenues increase—without regular wage earners having to pay even more.
Equality is about freedom, not just distribution
You want an equal society. So do we. But equality isn’t achieved mainly through quotas and more rules. It’s achieved when women have strong economic conditions, when violence in close relationships and honor oppression are combated with full force, and when the school gives all children—regardless of gender—real opportunities.

Here, the left has sometimes prioritized symbolic issues over concrete protection. Conservative politics put law and order, education, and the labor market first. That’s the kind of equality that works in practice.
It’s not about switching sides – it’s about results
Considering voting for the conservative bloc does not mean you give up your values. It means you ask yourself the question: What actually delivers what I want?
If street security, school quality, healthcare queues, and your own economic freedom are more important than sticking with a traditional vote—then there’s reason to take a closer look at the Moderates, Liberals, Sweden Democrats, and Christian Democrats. Not because they’re perfect. But because they more strongly prioritize the practical prerequisites for the good society you want.

You don’t have to agree on everything. But you deserve to judge politics by what it accomplishes—not by which slogans sound the most empathetic.
Your vote is yours. Use it for the society that actually makes you and your loved ones safer, freer, and stronger.
