For a long time, the party has been well below the parliamentary threshold of four percent, but as the election has drawn nearer, support for the Liberals has grown in several polls. On Monday, a poll was presented where the party is above the threshold for the first time since October 2022.

With just a few days left until Sunday’s election, L leader Simona Mohamsson appears to have convinced Tidö bloc voters that the party is necessary to secure another four blue-and-yellow years.

In the previous Novus poll, support for the Liberals rose by 1.4 percentage points to 3.3 percent, and now it has increased further, reaching 4.3 percent support (+1.0).

“I’m looking at other surveys as well. In connection with this, we see that Mohamsson has slightly increased in party leader trust; they haven’t really won any ownership of specific issues, but above all, they have stressed very much that without the Liberals, Tidö can’t hold, and it’s quite clear that this is what has had an impact,” says Torbjörn Sjöström, CEO of Novus, to TV4.

“I feel a tailwind. Sweden needs four more years of blue-and-yellow cooperation, not a dangerous turn to the left. I will work every waking minute to ensure just that. Sweden needs a party that prioritizes schools and freedom,” says Mohamsson.

S is increasing again

At the same time, the Social Democrats’ slide seems to have stopped—after falling in several polls, they are now rising again here. However, 27 percent would be the party’s worst election result ever.

The opposition’s large lead is also disappearing. In this poll, it is now only 2.4 percentage points.
