The Palestinian Movement Praised the Ayatollah: “Martyr”

Since the Hamas terror group’s massacre in 2023, the far left has joined forces with various migrant groups from the Middle East and North Africa, openly chanting their hatred of Jews and support for terrorists week after week. Now, as the US and Israel have attacked the Iranian state and Iranians around the world celebrate, these same groups are once again siding with the Islamist dictatorship.

Earlier this week, Samnytt reported how Feminist Initiative—the remains of the party—came out and condemned the attack on the Islamist dictatorship, at the same time as the news of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s death spread across the world, bringing great relief to many Iranians.

The left is thus siding with brutal Islamism and terrorism—something that was also visible this Sunday, as thousands of exiled Iranians celebrated the death of dictator Khamenei at Götaplatsen in Gothenburg, while a smaller group from the Palestinian movement turned out for their usual Sunday demonstration at Gustav Adolfs torg.

The Palestinian group brought portraits of Ali Khamenei and the Islamic Republic of Iran’s flag, side by side with flags from the terror group Hezbollah and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This was reported by the site Doku, which was on site. In speeches, the dictator was congratulated on his martyrdom and was even called “our beloved leader.”

According to a woman in a headscarf who spoke, it is “natural to feel grief and shed tears for the one you love.” She also claimed that the Western world had brainwashed people into believing that Khamenei was a bad person who denied his own people democracy.

– If you are here for Palestine, then you should also mourn the leader who became a martyr last night. A leader of the resistance, she said.

Selling Their Souls

A little while later, she turned directly to the exiled Iranians at Götaplatsen, where the mood was much happier, with people waving the old Persian lion-flag along with American, Israeli, and Swedish flags.
