Finally climbing out of the political sandbox and instead choosing a pragmatic path appears to have been a successful move by the Liberals’ party leader, Simona Mohamsson.
It was recently reported that one of the effects of the Liberals’ agreement with the Sweden Democrats, in which they will allow a government that includes SD, is that 58 percent of Moderate Party voters have become more positive about lending their support votes to the party.
Another effect is that trust in the Liberal leader increased by four percentage points, and Mohamsson surpassed Center Party leader Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist.

According to Mohamsson herself, the party has also gained a large number of new members:
In the latest Demoskop poll, the Liberals cross the parliamentary threshold for the first time in 38 months, since the end of 2022. 4.5 percent is a substantial increase compared to the February poll’s 2.5 percent.
According to Demoskop’s head of opinion, Johan Martinsson, the voter flows come mainly from their own side – partly voters who chose the party in the 2022 election, and partly from other Tidö parties, primarily the Moderates and the Sweden Democrats. At the same time, Martinsson questions how long this effect will last.
Meanwhile, the Social Democrats receive their worst result since the 2022 election, and the red-green opposition’s lead is now only 4.4 percent.
