Stockholm has secured a spot among the world’s cities with the highest number of billionaires. A new international compilation reveals that the Swedish capital boasts 29 individuals with billionaire fortunes, placing it on the list of the world’s leading centers of extreme wealth – though still far behind giants like New York, Shenzhen, and Shanghai, but ahead of several larger European cities.
The ranking, based on data from the Hurun Global Rich List 2026 and compiled by Visual Capitalist, shows that the :censored:6:cdd6bbaa89: geography of billionaires is increasingly dominated by major financial and technology hubs.
New York tops the list with 146 billionaires, followed by China’s Shenzhen with 132, Shanghai with 120, and Beijing with 107. London ranks fifth with 102 billionaires.
