In a short time, public trust in the Christian Democrat leader, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister for Energy and Business, Ebba Busch, has increased significantly. Jimmie Åkesson (SD) has also seen a strong boost.
Just a year ago, Social Democratic leader Magdalena Andersson was the undisputed frontrunner in polls measuring confidence in party leaders, but now Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Ebba Busch, and Jimmie Åkesson are closing in.
“Magdalena Andersson no longer quite enjoys the obvious personal advantage she once did. If we go back two years, she was completely dominant in party leader trust,” says Demoskop’s head of public opinion, Johan Martinsson, to SvD.

At the same time, Martinsson points out that the high level of trust in Ebba Busch is remarkable, given her party is so small and sometimes barely passes the parliamentary threshold.
In the previous poll, Jimmie Åkesson even surpassed Magdalena Andersson, but this time the Social Democrat leader is back on top. Andersson receives 43 percent trust, Kristersson 42, Åkesson 41, and Busch 40 percent. Trust has only gone down for Andersson:

Demoskop has also measured who among Ulf Kristersson and Magdalena Andersson voters think would be the better prime minister, with both receiving 44 percent.
Centre Party voters (C-voters) prefer Magdalena Andersson with 53 percent versus 15 percent for Ulf Kristersson.
