On social media, attention has been drawn to the Sweden Democrats launching an unusual election campaign with little time left before the election.

The campaign consists of a large hot air balloon depicting party leader Jimmie Åkesson, which is being sent up at various locations around the country. So far, the balloon has been spotted in several places in Skåne.

“Keep an eye out this summer! ???????????? #SD2026”, the party says.
