Man Dead After Assault at Bathing Site – Three Young Men Arrested for Murder

Three men in their 20s have been detained on suspicion of murder following a fatal assault at a bathing site in Mölnlycke, Härryda municipality, east of Gothenburg. The victim, a man in his 40s, was at the bathing site with family members when he was attacked. He was taken to hospital with severe injuries but died on Sunday.

According to information from the investigation, the injured man was able to identify the suspects before he died. During the night to Monday, three men, all in their 20s, were arrested and have since been detained on probable cause suspected of murder.

The prosecutor and police have not yet released the identities of the suspects or provided any information about their nationality, place of residence, or any previous criminal record. Murder and Attempted Murder

Two men in their 20s were injured with a sharp object. One of them later died from his injuries, while the other was taken to hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. The incident is being investigated as murder and attempted murder.

The investigation led to the arrest and detention of four young men. Three of them – 18, 19, and 20 years old – have since been remanded in custody on probable cause suspected of murder and attempted murder, while a fourth person has been released but remains a suspect. All three are said to have an immigrant background.
