The green battery manufacturer Northvolt closes the books for 2024 with a loss of a staggering 62 billion kronor.
Next Wednesday, the company will hold an extraordinary general meeting where decisions will be made about liquidation or continuing the operations.

“If further financing is not obtained, Northvolt will have problems with continued operations,” the board has expressed, as reported by SvD.
Erik Zsiga is Northvolt’s press chief, and he does not want to go into details about the 2024 results.
“We do not comment on the balance sheet, but as we have communicated earlier, non-cash write-downs of assets are a significant negative contributing factor to the equity figure,” Erik Zsiga wrote in an email to SvD.
