New statistics from Norway once again confirm the situation with non-European migrants being grossly overrepresented in crime. Among other things, it is evident that Somali men are 15 times more violent than Norwegians.
For every 1,000 Somali men aged 15-24 in the capital Oslo, 483 have been charged with violence or assault. This was one of the conclusions when the Norwegian equivalent of Statistics Sweden, Statistics Norway, published new crime statistics in December.

They had not wanted to bring out the figures but were forced to do so when the Progress Party requested an update.
Somalis stand out extremely, but also groups such as Ethiopians, Iraqis, Eritreans, and Afghans are significantly overrepresented. Russians are also on this list.
The site Document.no has taken a closer look at the figures, especially violence and assault in Oslo among young men.
While there are 483 charges per 1,000 Somalis in the group, the corresponding proportion among ethnic Norwegians is 32.
At the same time, there is a significant difference in immigrant groups, where some have a considerably lower crime level. One such group is Norwegian-born with Filipino parents, where only 16 out of 1,000 have been charged.
When it comes to drug offenses, the same trend can be seen with 441 charged Somalis per 1,000 and 43 per 1,000 for Norwegians.
Continues to increase
Of a total of 527 charges for crimes settled in the judicial system in the years 2020–2023, 20 percent were against immigrants and five percent against Norwegian-born with immigrant parents. Non-residents accounted for just over seven percent.
The figures also show that the overrepresentation has rather increased than decreased.
