A serious traffic accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Liljeholmen in southern Stockholm when a bus drove straight into a building.
It was just after 4 p.m. when police, rescue services, and ambulance were alerted to the scene. The driver of the bus was seriously injured and was airlifted to hospital by medevac helicopter.

A total of seven people were taken to hospital, two of whom are considered seriously injured. In addition, nine more people received care at an urgent care center. It remains unclear how many passengers were on board the bus at the time of the accident.
According to the police, the bus continued straight ahead in a curve and then collided with the facade. Police have launched a preliminary investigation into reckless driving and causing bodily injury.
Furthermore, the bus, which was operated by Nobina, has been seized for a technical examination. According to Nobina, the vehicle is relatively new and underwent a safety check the night before the accident.
According to media reports, there is currently nothing indicating the incident was caused by an acute medical condition suffered by the driver.
