32-year-old Christian Zedig from Småland traveled to Copenhagen to watch Sweden’s World Cup match against France. There, he tried to intervene to stop a fight, which ended with him losing his life. An African man is believed to be the perpetrator. When a moment of silence was held for Zedig, some veiled women were present at the scene, who seemed to find the situation highly entertaining.
Christian Zedig was subjected to deadly violence and later died from his injuries. The suspected perpetrator, who has an extensive criminal record, was arrested shortly after being sought by police. The man has been detained, and according to Danish authorities, the evidence is strong after the incident was caught on surveillance footage.
Zedig was a married father of young children living in Eksjö in Småland who worked as a police officer. The case has received significant attention in Europe as yet another example of the ongoing violence Europeans face from migrants.

On social media, Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has expressed her condolences for the murder. Lawen Redar (S) has replied to her post:

At the same time, Frederiksen states that there is far too much crime in Denmark committed by immigrants:

Grinning veils
Another thing that has attracted attention is the moment of silence that was held at the venue for Christian Zedig before the match between Norway and Brazil. During the live broadcast, a group of veiled women are seen as the only ones not standing, seeming to do their best not to burst out laughing.
As soon as the women appeared on camera, the broadcast was cut, and in later versions posted online by Danish TV, the sequence had been edited out.
