With an increasing number of electric vehicles in close proximity to humans, new types of accidents occur regularly. Time and time again, the batteries catch fire in an almost explosive manner, exposing the surroundings to significant risks. Electric vehicles pose such a significant fire hazard that special regulations are often applied.
In the latest incident, an electric vehicle spontaneously caught fire, narrowly escaping the staff working on it. The location is a tire workshop in Perth, Australia.
It was when an employee was changing the tire on the electric scooter that the battery suddenly started to smoke. The sequence of events was captured by a surveillance camera.
