On Monday, senior prosecutor Carolina Frohm stated that the man is still suspected, but for normal-grade negligence causing death.
– The investigation is in an intensive stage, with both interrogations and technical examinations. The purpose of the investigation is to try to clarify what has happened. The suspicions of negligence causing death remain for the time being, she said in a press release.

Speculations about illness
There has been speculation that the bus driver suffered from an illness, and that was the cause of the bus accident. An explanation that Transdev themselves are said to have communicated internally, according to DN. The bus company has later denied that explanation.
”Our thoughts go to the affected, their relatives and loved ones, and we fully cooperate with the police and other actors to clarify the course of events and will also initiate our own investigation as soon as it is practically possible”, Transdev wrote on its website.
