In a debate in the Dalarna Regional Council, their ‘sustainability policy’ was discussed. The Sweden Democrats wanted to make a change to it, while the Christian Democrats wanted to keep the document as it is and referred to the possibility of having no snow in the country in the future.

On November 10, the Regional Council took place. Under the item regarding the ‘sustainability policy’, the Sweden Democrats had a proposed amendment, arguing that the one-sided focus on carbon dioxide was wrong.

In the debate, the Christian Democrats’ representative argued that it is important to keep the wording because otherwise the snow will disappear, and the Vasaloppet cannot be carried out. Kent Ekeroth believes it was a stupid cliché.
