The larger immigrant groups become, the more power they gain to influence and determine Swedish elections. This is also where the left-wing parties now have their main voter base—something they are exploiting to the fullest. Ahead of this year’s election, the Social Democrats, Left Party, and Green Party are investing heavily in election campaigns in languages such as Arabic and Somali.
Recently, Samnytt highlighted how both the Social Democrats and the Left Party are campaigning in Arabic, portraying themselves as the guarantee that the evil Tidö parties will not be able to continue their allegedly racist and Islamophobic policies.
