With half a year left until the election, the political debate is intensifying, as is the mudslinging. The Social Democrats’ campaign is mainly focused on blaming the Tidö government for the far-reaching consequences of their own time in power, such as electricity prices. A strategy that doesn’t seem to be working particularly well.

In Verian’s March poll, the Social Democrats drop by almost two percentage points and register their worst numbers in over three years – since autumn 2022. The party is mainly losing support to the Centre Party and the other opposition parties.

While the Moderates lose one percentage point, the Sweden Democrats gain the same amount.

In this poll, the Liberals are once again alone in falling below the parliamentary threshold. With support at two percent, they would need to increase by 100 percent to remain in the Riksdag.

The red-green side is still leading, and now there’s barely a difference of seven percentage points between the blocs. For the Tidö parties to overtake the opposition, more than 220,000 voters would need to switch sides.
