This weekend, a woman in Falkenberg was reported missing. After a large search operation, the woman was found dead and the forensic investigation was completed on Monday.

The woman, in her mid-30s, disappeared early Sunday morning, and the search began around 5 a.m. Both the police and the Armed Forces participated with helicopters and dog patrols. In the evening, the police announced that the woman had been found, but she was deceased.

According to the forensic investigation, there is nothing to indicate a crime. However, the results of the medical examination are still pending, and until they are ready, the preliminary investigation continues, classified as murder.

– We are not ruling anything out, says team leader Johanna Åström to Hallandsposten.

While the next of kin have been informed, the police continue with various investigative measures. No one has been arrested or is suspected in the case.
