After the proposal to scrap authorities had been out for consultation, the government and the Sweden Democrats announced on Thursday morning which authorities they have ultimately decided to shut down.

When the Tidö government presented the details of the autumn budget, it also announced which authorities are considered redundant and therefore scrapped.

Previously, it has been mentioned that ten authorities will become five, but it will be three that are being phased out.

The Authority for Support to Religious Communities is being shut down and its operations are being transferred to the Authority for Youth and Civil Society Issues.

The Authority for Work Environment Knowledge is being shut down and its operations are being transferred to the Swedish Work Environment Authority.

Swedish Agency for Government Employers is being shut down and its operations are being incorporated into the Swedish Agency for Economic and Management Control. At the same time, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Management Control will change its name to Swedish Agency for Government Employers.
