The police are searching for a man with an immigrant background who is suspected of being involved in a fraud scheme targeting the elderly. The man is alleged to have purchased a prepaid SIM card, which was later used to trick pensioners out of their jewelry.
On January 7 at 16:10, a man was captured by surveillance cameras at Ica Kvantum on Lidingö while reloading a prepaid SIM card for a mobile phone.
What at first glance appeared to be a completely ordinary purchase has, according to the police, connections to a fraud case. The card was later used in a so-called physical vishing incident.
