Dagens nyheter (DN) made a mistake when the newspaper published a number of misleading articles, where criticism was directed towards the labor and housing market without disclosing that those voicing the criticism work for the Social Democrats. The newspaper’s editor-in-chief Anna Åberg admits to this.
The background includes an article that DN published last week about 28-year-old Anna Mosten, who works at AIP Media Produktion AB; a media company fully owned by the Social Democrats and according to the party’s own definition constitutes a so-called troll factory.

The employee was portrayed as unemployed, giving the impression that it is difficult to find a job in Sweden.
Admits mistake
That DN misled its readers about who Anna Mosten is, and that she works for the Social Democrats, was criticized, not least from the Moderate Party. And now Dagens Nyheter’s editor-in-chief Anna Åberg admits that the newspaper acted wrongly.
– There has been a failure in the editorial process, she tells sister newspaper Dagens media.
DN has recently published several similar articles featuring Social Democratic employees, where the party’s policies have been criticized, without informing readers that the interviewees work for the Social Democrats. Samnytt has previously contacted DN, which chose not to answer our questions.
In a debate article published by the magazine Kvartal, however, Anna Mosten claims that she is the victim in the whole story, and that she is subjected to ”hatred, suspicion, and personal attacks”. The 28-year-old Social Democratic employee troll alleges that the ”right-wing media ecosystem” is trying to ”intimidate me and other young women with opposing views into silence”.
