DEBATE • Tim Walz was already known as a far-left extreme politician when he was nominated by Kamala Harris as vice presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election year. According to many observers, he is the most radical leftist ever to aspire to the second most important leadership position in U.S. history.

Now, possibly the largest welfare crime in American history has been uncovered, where billions of dollars have been embezzled for years by residents in and around Minneapolis of Somali origin.

It may be of interest in this context to note that about 90 percent of Somali families with children in Minnesota live wholly or partly on various forms of social benefits. This means they constitute an enormous burden on the federally tax-funded welfare systems in the USA.

Over a Billion in Fraud

So far, federal authorities have uncovered just over a billion dollars in outright fraud within this population group. More than 250 million of those were embezzled from a single welfare program during the Covid pandemic—money that was supposed to finance food and other essential supplies for children in the Somali population, who were reportedly at risk of malnutrition.

Instead, Somali leaders responsible for the food programs used these funds to buy luxury homes, luxury cars, and fancy office buildings for themselves. However, the billion uncovered so far is likely just the tip of the iceberg. Federal investigators are already suggesting that several billion dollars have been embezzled in various ways.

Galloping Inflation after Biden

One should remember that the Biden administration generously distributed grants to politicians and municipalities like this with key voter groups during the Covid pandemic, without the necessary security procedures or controls. Instead, this was delegated to the local level and, in the case of Minnesota, to politicians such as Tim Walz and his ‘cronies’.

This type of monetary injection into the economy is what started the galloping inflation in the USA and drove inflationary pressure :censored:6:cdd6bbaa89:ly. The USA still suffers from relatively high inflation, despite the Trump administration fighting valiantly to bring it down.

In November, price increases were 2.7 percent annually. Those who remember know that the Biden administration drove inflation rates above 9 percent and that certain key food products increased by more than 50 percent annually during Biden’s time in the White House.

The Democrats Want to Repeat the Mistake

Today, the same Democrats boast that they have the best policies when it comes to ‘affordability’, meaning giving Americans the means to afford the bare essentials. According to leading Democratic politicians, this will be achieved through price controls, free daycare, and free municipal public transportation, among other ‘goodies’ they want to offer voters.

The bill will be paid by the rich. The same policies that led to economic disaster under Biden/Harris are now supposed to restore purchasing power and welfare for all Americans. One can only hope that Americans will see through the fraud that the Democratic Party is now proclaiming before the midterms in November 2026.

It is precisely this policy announced by the Democrats—with new and more complicated regulations, mandatory climate legislation, and censorship—that EU politicians seem to have embraced, and that the Trump administration warned about in its latest strategy document. European growth and the economy will continue to stagnate, and welfare will be further eroded by these politics, while liberal immigration from countries with alien cultures and legal views is maintained.

Political and Media Cover-up

Back to the Somali welfare crimes. No reasonable observer believes these tax-fraud schemes could have occurred for so many years and with such enormous sums if local politicians and authorities hadn’t turned a blind eye to what was happening. That it could all happen in silence and under total cover-up shows the media’s role in concealing welfare fraud.

American media is mainly left-radical, and reporting on welfare crimes committed by the Somali population would be considered racist and damaging to the Democratic political majority in Minnesota. Tim Walz could indeed have become vice president of the USA if the American people hadn’t seen through the false narrative he and Kamala Harris conveyed during their campaign.

The media’s role in this fraud is enormous and instead of only writing and printing articles meant to smear Donald Trump and the Republican Party, the media should have scratched the surface of this gigantic scandal. But unfortunately, the media in the USA, as in Sweden, has chosen to suppress this type of crime, because it is not politically correct to tell the truth about how immigrant groups—in this case, especially the Somali population—have been able to exploit the system in collusion with left-wing politicians.

Could this happen in Sweden too? Absolutely, it’s already happening and obviously similar and more frauds among immigrant groups will occur if Magdalena Andersson comes to power with the support of the Left, Green, and Center parties. They want more liberal immigration and stronger asylum rights. One can only hope that the Swedish people use their common sense on election day in September 2026, just as the American people did a little over a year ago.
