A 49-year-old Swedish man has now been charged at Varberg District Court, suspected of raping a 14-year-old girl. In addition to the rape, he is also accused of possessing 50 child pornographic images.
The man, who is employed at a school in Falkenberg municipality, is alleged to have raped the 14-year-old girl during school hours. The rape allegedly consisted of the man inserting a finger into the girl’s anus in mid-December 2025.
During a police search of his home, 50 child pornographic images were found in the man’s possession.
The prosecutor argues that the crime should be considered aggravated since the man abused his position and violated the trust placed in him.
The municipality states that they are following the legal process, have informed those concerned, and have offered support.
The accused man has no previous criminal record.
