Former SVT correspondent and climate reporter Erika Bjerström has been awarded the 2026 Anna Lindh Prize. The prize is awarded by the Anna Lindh Memorial Fund, whose chair is Ann Linde (S).

Bjerström, who for many years has been SVT’s foreign and climate correspondent, is now being recognized for her journalistic work on climate issues, international politics, and human rights.

The motivation for the prize highlights her reporting on the “climate crisis” as an example of how she has made :censored:6:cdd6bbaa89: issues understandable to a broad audience. The award comes at a time when public service broadcasters have repeatedly been criticized for a lack of impartiality in their climate reporting.

The Anna Lindh Prize is awarded by the Anna Lindh Memorial Fund. The board consists, among others, of former Foreign Minister Ann Linde (S), former LO chairman Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson, and several others with backgrounds in the labor movement and the Social Democrats.

The prize is awarded annually to individuals or organizations deemed to act in the spirit of Anna Lindh. The prize amount is 100,000 kronor. This year, the online magazine Blankspot also received an organizational award of the same amount.
