Borås municipality is deploying security guards against residents at the Dalsjövägen 25 nursing home in Dalsjöfors. The background is one or more elderly people who have expressed hostility toward the home’s Muslim staff.
Last month, a 90-year-old man at the same home was prosecuted for incitement to hatred against an ethnic group. The reason was that he made derogatory remarks about Islam and said that “all Muslims must leave Sweden.”
Now, another incident has taken place at Dalsjövägen 25, where a resident reportedly called a staff member a “jihadist.”

“Cannot Comment”
Marcus Hjalmarsson is head of security at Borås municipality. He tells Samnytt that the new incident has also been reported to the police, but does not answer whether one or more pensioners are being pointed to as the problem.
According to Sveriges Radio, security guards have been stationed at the home; a statement he does not want to comment on.

“I cannot comment on what security measures have been taken. What measures we have in place is not something we disclose publicly,” he says.
So you cannot comment on the information about these security guards?
“No, I can’t comment on what measures we have taken.”
Hjalmarsson also responds, somewhat contradictorily, that the decision to deploy security guards was made by the municipality’s health and elderly care administration.
“This is a decision that has been made by the administration, so I am not commenting on specific questions. You will have to contact those who are responsible for that department,” he says.
Unit Manager Refuses to Answer
The unit manager for Dalsjövägen 25 is Gina Andersson. She also does not want to answer Samnytt’s questions.
“I have to refer such questions to the operations manager. That decision has already been made,” she says.
And who is that?
“My boss is Susanne Blid Roos.”
Susanne Blid Roos is operations manager for the health and elderly care administration in Borås. Samnytt has tried to reach her, but she is on vacation.
