In the Skåne municipality of Skurup, the Sweden Democrats are strong. The party helps govern the municipality together with, among others, the Moderate Party. In the school election, the party has also had great success, receiving over 70 percent of the votes.

During the most recent term, the Sweden Democrats have governed the municipality together with the Moderates and the Christian Democrats.

In this year’s election, the Sweden Democrats once again became the second largest party, behind the Moderates. At the Nils Holgersson upper secondary school, the party also received a strong result of around 70 percent of votes in the school election, while the Moderates received just under 14 percent.

At the same time, the Social Democrats did not even reach five percent, while both the Centre Party and the Liberals gained zero percent.

In a post on social media, the party commented on the result:

A historic and incredibly strong result! This clearly shows that the young people of Skurup want to see more Sweden Democrat policies. You have shown enormous commitment to issues concerning our shared future, security and cohesion.

We take your trust very seriously and will continue to work extremely hard to make Skurup an even better and safer municipality to grow up, study and live in. A big thank you to every one of you who voted, spoke with us, and showed your support.
