During a prisoner transport, a group of correctional officers made a stop at a store. Now, the individuals involved risk consequences.

Three correctional officers from the National Transport Unit in Västerås made an unplanned stop at Dollarstore in Arboga during a prisoner transport. The stop was not part of their assignment.

While two of them went inside to shop for items unrelated to their work, the third remained in the car with the transported man. The prisoner was not handcuffed and was sitting closest to the door.

The case has been reported to the Personnel Responsibility Board, and the transport leader risks facing disciplinary action.
