Now, the Danish government has decided to take the same path. The agreement has been reached between the government, the Conservative People’s Party, and the Radical Left, while several other parties left the negotiations.

The new rules set an age limit of 15 years for social media – however, parents can give their children permission to use social media from the age of 13.

“Mobile phones and social media are stealing our children’s childhood,” said Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in her speech at the opening of the Folketing in October.
