The district administration’s reception in Tensta was subjected to an axe attack on Friday afternoon when a man entered the premises and started smashing windows.
The police received the alarm at 14:13, and about four minutes later the first patrols arrived. When they arrived, the incident was still ongoing and the man was apprehended at the reception.

The staff at the district administration in Tensta, where the social services among others have their premises, fled into rooms where they could lock themselves in. None of the employees are reported to have been harmed during the attack.
The suspected perpetrator, who is in his 20s, is now detained after causing extensive damage to window panes with an axe in the entrance area.
He is suspected of aggravated vandalism, serious unlawful threats, and serious violation of the knife law.
