The Social Democrats admit that they have collaborated with a social media account spreading anti-Semitic posts through their so-called troll factories.
– It is completely reprehensible, says Daniel Färm, CEO of S-owned AiP Media.

It concerns the Instagram account ‘Jävla u-land’; one of the accounts backed by the Social Democrats, which has made so-called co-publications with another Instagram account; ‘Not very fun, on the contrary’.

This other account is also part of the social democratic online environment, where the party leader of the Social Democrats is praised, while disinformation and mockery against representatives of the government parties are spread.

7 October terror praised

The Instagram account ‘Not very fun, on the contrary’ has published a number of posts perceived as anti-Semitic. This has been noted, not least by the Jewish Youth Association in Sweden who brought attention to it.

Among other things, posts that have been interpreted as praising Hamas’ terrorist massacre against Israel on October 7, 2023, and those that allude to various anti-Semitic beliefs commonly found in the pro-Palestinian environment.

On Monday evening, Minister for Civil Defence Carl-Oskar Bohlin (M) and Daniel Färm, CEO of S-owned AiP Media AB, debated the issue on Swedish Television’s ‘Aktuellt’.

– It is an account that praises October 7. So, you are collaborating. This requires someone in your troll factory to collaborate, make a joint post, together with this account, Bohlin pointed out.

Färm admitted that the mentioned posts are anti-Semitic.

– We have now become aware of a number of anti-Semitic expressions, and it is completely reprehensible, he said.

Investing millions in troll factories

Organisationally, the Instagram account ‘Jävla uland’ is controlled by the Morning newspaper, owned by the company AiP Media, which in turn is fully owned by the Social Democrats. It thus belongs to a separate branch of the social democratic online environment.

In recent years, the Social Democrats have invested millions in promoting posts on various social media accounts, where their own policies are praised while opponents are mocked.

The purpose is to increase the spread of these posts, without the reader realizing that it is the Social Democrats behind the messages.

The setup has been criticized, not least by the Social Democrats themselves. The party has previously accused the Sweden Democrats of operating ‘troll factories’ when they have had similar anonymous social media accounts.
