During a visit to the guard post outside one of Tesla’s facilities in Stockholm, a binder with documents was discovered, in which strike guards had recorded customer visits at Elon Musk’s electric car company. The documents included license plates, company registration numbers or business names, vehicle models, and comments on what the person did on site.

In 2024, Samnytt reported that only a third of the workers at Swedish Tesla were participating in the ongoing strike against the American EV giant.

IF Metall’s chairwoman Marie Nilsson called this “a disappointment” and tried to explain that it is likely due to fear of the employer.

In a report this week, a hidden camera also revealed that a representative from IF Metall—believing she was speaking with a like-minded individual—was said to have encouraged violence against the American EV giant Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk.

When Peterson then tried to ask questions at the scene, both the union representative and her aide fled. Both turned away from the camera, and one even covered her face.

Peterson concludes that the harassment, and now even incitement to violence, resemble mafia methods more than the behavior of a serious trade union. He raises the question of whether collective agreements should not be voluntary.
