The prominent Palestine activist Tara Saleh has been let go from Bergaskolan in Malmö. This was revealed by the school’s deputy principal Anna Perevski to Samnytt.
– She doesn’t work with us anymore, she says.

The 41-year-old Palestine activist Tara Saleh has gained significant attention on social media for her TikTok videos over the past year.

In one video, she glorifies acts of terror, stating: ”September 11, I’m very proud of it, and also October 7. The two best dates of my life!”

In another video, the same activist says ”we will return to our homelands after we have destroyed Sweden” and that she ”looks forward to” ”Russia turning all of Sweden into a parking lot”.

Gets fired from school

In November last year, Tara Saleh, who was working as a teacher, was fired from Ebba Pettersson’s private school in Gothenburg. The reason was the video clips she spread on social media, where she also expressed threatening remarks towards children.

– I have worked as a principal and school manager for fifteen years. I have never encountered anything like this. It has never happened. I have never fired anyone. Never met anyone who has not done their job, says the school’s principal Ulrika Kragner to Samnytt in connection with this.

Kragner becomes aware of Tara Saleh’s TikTok videos through parents and students at the school. Based on the content, it is assessed that the 41-year-old teacher cannot continue to work at the school.

– It is an overall picture of the appropriateness of combining what one expresses in their spare time, linked to the teaching profession, simply put, and the values one stands for when encountering students, says the principal.

New job in Malmö

On September 16 this year, Tara Saleh gets a new job as a teaching assistant at Bergaskolan in Malmö. The news triggers strong reactions among both students at the school and their parents.

When the hiring is brought to attention, Samnytt seeks Bergaskolan’s school management. They choose not to answer our questions, but three days after Samnytt’s article is published, principal Rikard Persson breaks the silence in an interview with state television.

– When we hired her, we had no idea about this, he claims.

However, criticism grows over Rikard Persson’s hiring of the controversial Palestine activist at the school, and a few days later, he is forced to leave his position as principal.

– For the best interest of Bergaskolan, I step aside, he tells Sydsvenskan.

Leaves Bergaskolan

Tarah Saleh has previously claimed to Samnytt that those who criticize her are ”SD and high racists”. She admits that she has expressed herself crudely, but that she did not mean what she said.

– I have explained myself millions of times before. Everything I have said has been in response to people who have written even dumber things. I have responded in the heat of the moment, she argues.

Now, she has in any case been let go from Bergaskolan.

– She doesn’t work with us anymore, says deputy principal Anna Perevski to Samnytt.

Pereveski does not answer questions about when Saleh left or if she was offered any severance pay or other financial compensation.

Spreads fear

Ebba Pettersson’s private school and Bergaskolan are not the only employers from whom Tara Saleh has been fired. She has pursued legal processes against several previous employers and has also been convicted of, among other things, benefit fraud and false registration.

But what worries those who have previously worked with her is not Tara Saleh herself, but her two brothers who are assessed to have a propensity for violence, both of whom have been convicted of serious crimes. There is a fear of reprisals against anyone who gets into a dispute with the Arab family.

– I am extremely afraid of this. I have children at home who are very scared, says a person who wishes to remain anonymous and who has previously worked with Tara Saleh, to Samnytt.

Samnytt has tried to reach Tara Saleh. She has not responded.
