Three teenage boys are convicted for the restaurant murder in the Stockholm suburb of Fittja in March this year. One of the perpetrators is sentenced to life imprisonment. This is decided by the Södertörn District Court.

It is on March 21 this year that a 27-year-old man is shot to death inside Pascha pizza charcoal grill in the Stockholm suburb of Fittja. Three young men fire shots from an automatic rifle of the Zastava brand.

Parts of the sequence of events are captured on film by the police’s own surveillance cameras, and the three young perpetrators can be arrested just minutes afterwards.

Twelve restaurant guests

The court does not establish any motive for the murder, and in the investigation there are speculations that it was a so-called “mistaken shooting”.

However, the murdered 27-year-old had been convicted of several crimes, including money laundering. According to his own family, he was a criminal and owed unknown amounts to unknown individuals.

In addition to the murdered man, there are twelve more people inside the restaurant at the time of the murder, six of whom are restaurant guests.

Teenagers convicted

Now, three teenagers are convicted for the restaurant murder in March. All three deny the crime, but are linked to the crime through, among other things, surveillance images and DNA traces.

19-year-old Abdourahman Susan Jagne, who was born in Gambia but is now a Swedish citizen, is sentenced to life imprisonment for murder, aggravated unlawful threats, and aggravated weapons offenses. He fired a shot inside the restaurant that hit the ceiling.

17-year-old Yaser Al Diri, who was born in Syria and is also now a Swedish citizen, is sentenced to eight years in prison for murder, endangering the life of another, aggravated unlawful threats, and aggravated weapons offenses. According to the court, it is proven that Al Diri fired the fatal shot into the restaurant.

Cristian Roberto-Cristian Tatar, who was born in Romania and is not a Swedish citizen, is sentenced to four years of closed youth care and lifelong deportation for murder, aggravated unlawful threats, and aggravated weapons offenses. He was 16 years old when the crime was committed.
