2025 starts well for Jimmie Åkesson and his Sweden Democrats. In Indikator Opinion’s December survey, the party’s support increases by more than two percentage points and becomes the second largest party with a good margin.

While the Sweden Democrats increase by 2.3 percentage points compared to the November survey and receive a support of 21.6 percent, the Moderates lose almost as much: minus 2.1 percentage points puts the Prime Minister’s party at 18.6 percent.

Aside from SD and M, there are small differences for the other parties.

Neither the Christian Democrats nor the Liberals reach the four percent threshold.
