DEBATE • The government wants to investigate the attitudes of Swedes towards discrimination, intolerance, and racism, in the general population and particularly in schools. A number of ethnic groups are listed where the government wants to ‘get to the bottom’ of how big the problem is. However, ethnic Swedes are not included in the list.

The Intolerance Study is one of the measures in the government’s new action plan against racism and hate crimes, aiming to monitor developments over time and make better and more targeted efforts. The study, conducted by the Living History Forum, covers attitudes towards ‘vulnerable groups’ such as Afro-Swedes, Jews, Muslims, Roma, and Sami. The goal of the government’s new action plan is a society free from racism.

– We need to get to the bottom of how big the problem is with racism, anti-Semitism, and hate and threats in schools linked to ethnicity,” says Minister for Gender Equality Paulina Brandberg (L).

– Several reports have recently shown that racism and discrimination unfortunately are part of the everyday life of many children and young people in schools. The goal is for a larger proportion of the hate crimes committed to be reported, investigated, and prosecuted,” says Minister for Social Affairs Jakob Forssmed (KD).

The plan includes four focus areas – schools, the legal system, the workplace, and public activities. Sub-goals are linked to these areas, and several authorities are involved, including the National Board of Health and Welfare, the Swedish Work Environment Authority, and the Police Authority.

No action against crimes against Swedes

For example, the government wants the legal system to take action against hate crimes, but it completely omits hate crimes against ethnic Swedes. It is as if they do not exist or it is about the legal system’s well-known double standards. Where did the equality before the law go?

The Sweden Democrats have not participated and “it is because they are not in the government and this is a product of the government, it is not a Tidöpunkt,” says Paulina Brandberg.

Swedish school students are a group whose attitudes towards intolerance will be mapped out and then reported on by March 1, 2026. The more comprehensive study of the entire Swedish population’s attitudes towards intolerance should be completed by March 1, 2027.

Jews

Jews are a well-integrated group in Swedish society. Conflicts have therefore increased with the immigration from Muslim countries. Muslims cannot accept that the Jews have reclaimed an area that was mainly Muslim for a period – Israel.

They therefore take out their anger on Jews in Sweden as in the Middle East, and the left joins in. The Swedish media does everything it can to not see and report this in its coverage. Instead, they blame anti-Semitism on so-called right-wing extremist Swedes.

They often legitimize Muslim anti-Semitism. The government is also among the guilty, despite the current investigation, where among other things it doubles Swedish aid to Hamas-controlled Gaza to 800 million kronor and continues to legitimize its rule with Swedish recognition as a state.

Muslims

When it comes to Muslims, we have a scale between those who just want to live ordinary lives and those who strictly adhere to the requirements of the Quran, which concretely means that Sweden’s politics should fundamentally change to a caliphate in the long run. The latter see Christians, Jews, and others as infidels “dhimmi” – second-class citizens with lower status in society and whom as a Muslim one should not associate with (sura 3:28 “A Muslim may not have infidels as friends”).

They also want us infidels to submit to their demands, and we have willingly met them. But some of us understand where this development leads and express criticism or react with justified fear of the development.

Then the racist label emerges or they end up in court for the thought crime of “incitement to racial hatred,” which in practice has become a form of Sharia legislation. One can also be called Islamophobic. Phobia is an unfounded or irrational fear, which others find justified and rational because many, including Swedes, have been killed with Muslim motives, often with a knife to the throat as a kind of halal slaughter.

Sura 5:33 “Maim and crucify infidels if they criticize Islam”, sura 8:12 “Terrorize and behead those who do not solely believe in the Quran”, sura 47:4 “Do not live in peace with the infidels”).

It is not surprising that the conflict increases when one does not want to see the nature of the problem, but hides it and reverses the criticism under designations such as “racism, incitement, hate, and threats”. At the same time, many young people are affected by humiliating robberies, group rapes with elements of humiliation, which can clearly be classified as racism against ethnic Swedes, as the victims almost exclusively belong to that group, while the perpetrators just as often have a non-Western and/or Muslim immigrant background. But this form of racism is systematically swept under the carpet, most recently in the government’s new initiative. Talk about double standards!

Sami

When it comes to the Sami, there is a conflict between the rest of society and reindeer husbandry, which spreads over just over half of Sweden’s area and hinders the activities of many other people and businesses. For example, tourism in the mountains and tourist businesses are hindered. The reindeer-herding Sami, who also only make up 4 percent of all Sami, have privileges that other Swedes and 96 percent of the Sami do not have.

This is done with the justification that they are an indigenous people. But the 96 percent of the Sami who do not have reindeer are just as much an indigenous people. Even ethnic Swedes are an indigenous people. Transforming this conflict into being about racism is misleading, inconsistent, and perpetuating an old lie.

Roma

When it comes to Roma, the fact is that at the group level, they account for a lot of crime. Typical crimes within the group are crimes against the elderly, metal thefts, shop thefts (petty thefts), and benefit fraud. This is well known among entrepreneurs who are doubly affected – both directly through thefts, fraud, and more, but also if they try to prevent crime, as there is a great risk that the Roma will report the company to the Discrimination Ombudsman, which can result in damages.

The latter has opened a door for Roma to further gain advantages at the expense of others, as the affected do not dare to prosecute their crimes. Those who have experienced all this naturally have a negative attitude towards Roma, which of course is not about racism but pure self-preservation.

That these conditions have been swept under the carpet for a long time with the help of the racism label has led to the problems being preserved and growing. A thorough investigation on this subject is found in the book “The Roma in Sweden” by Karl Olov Arnstberg.

Afro-Swedes

When it comes to Afro-Swedes, the fact is that at the group level, they have a higher propensity for violence than ethnic Swedes. Consistent studies also indicate that the populations in the Afro-Swedes’ countries of origin also have a lower average IQ, which most likely also applies to those who have immigrated here.

These facts are presented in the book “Facing Reality” by Charles Murray. Afro-Swedes also come from cultures that differ dramatically from the Swedish one and where the education systems are extremely inadequate. They are also often Muslims, which doubles the problems.

They therefore do not function as well in Sweden as ethnic Swedes and migrants from culturally more similar countries, which leads to conflicts and integration problems. Although it has started to be more recognized in recent times, there is still a taboo to talk about this reality. Instead, these conflicts and problems are distorted and turned into being about racism.

Encouraged to cultivate a culture of victimhood

Society, and especially the left, has also encouraged several of the aforementioned groups to cultivate a culture of victimhood where nothing is your own fault or responsibility and everything is the fault of society and racism. This culture has also been profitable economically for many who have exploited it legally.

The problem with the government’s investigation is that if one does not want to see how the problem really looks, the investigation will continue to reproduce and reinforce lies. The investigations will also cost a lot of money.

Measures based on lies do not solve problems but create and exacerbate them. This leads to further large costs for society and new misguided investigations in a vicious circle. The whole point of these new investigations is probably that two small desperate parties in the government hope that they will generate new voters in the 2026 election.
