Shivesh Tiwari was born in India and came to Sweden as a child with his father. He is married to a same-aged Indian woman who came to Sweden in 2020.

The couple has a two-year-old daughter together, and all three are registered at Tiwari’s father and his new wife’s home in a villa in Tumba.

The 26-year-old Indian was granted Swedish citizenship just a week after being registered in Sweden at the age of ten.

Tiwari has previously studied at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, but has mostly worked in park maintenance.

The victim worked at Ica

The woman whom Shivesh Tiwari fatally stabbed was 60 years old and worked at Ica Maxi. The woman also lived in Tumba, together with her husband and the couple’s two daughters, both in their twenties.

On Wednesday, the Ica Maxi store was closed due to the murder.

“We will keep the store closed today and take care of our colleagues after yesterday’s tragic event. Thank you for your understanding,” the store wrote on Instagram.
